Interested in being a mentor for ImaGENation?

We are currently seeking mentors with a wide range of skills and experiences to help Indigenous youth launch their clean energy project!

We are seeking mentors who are available for 2-3 hours per month beginning in April 2024. All mentors receive a stipend. To apply, all you need to do is fill out this form here and click submit. Mentorship Goals

Program mentors are experienced Indigenous leaders and clean energy practitioners who possess deep familiarity with Indigenous culture, traditions, and values.

Program Mentors will guide and support teams of Indigenous youth in the planning, development, and implementation of a clean energy project that serves and/or inspires Indigenous community.

Outputs:

  • ImaGENation Indigenous Youth (Learners) are paired with mentors from the ICE Network.

  • Mentors engage with learners one-on-one from 2-3 hours per month beginning in April 2024; mentors receive a stipend to support their participation. 

  • Mentors create space for shared learning, guidance, and collaboration regarding clean energy development in the community, leadership, green careers, culture, etc. 

Outcomes:

  • Learners gain skills in the areas of project management and community engagement, with the result being a successful and inspiring clean energy project that is rolled out in phases from conception to implementation.

  • Mentors build their leadership capacity, share knowledge and experiences, and learn from youths’ experiences and insights. 

  • Learners and Mentors are empowered to participate in a shared learning space and understand their lived experience as a valuable qualification in clean energy leadership.
